I draw and build each design by hand, to your wishes, and sized to fit your space exactly
I design and build custom loudspeaker systems for hospitality venues, listening bars, clubs, restaurants, bars and cinemas, and for high-end home audio. Ideally I am involved early, while the space is still being designed, so the sound solution can be shaped around the room. That early start matters: integration is at its cheapest and cleanest when the system and the interior grow together instead of one being fitted around the other.
In a good share of projects I am brought in because of an issue, room acoustics that aren't doing the space justice, or noise that is reaching the neighbours. Guiding a venue through the permit process and getting noise complaints resolved is some of the most satisfying work I do.
I work with the architect, the interior designer and the owner, and together we shape one solution that is specific to the venue. I draw on years of my own speaker designs to make a unique blend for your venue, then draw and build each cabinet by hand, made to your wishes and sized to fit the space. No two projects are the same, because no two venues are the same.
The subwoofers are a good example. Rather than picking one from a catalogue that happens to fit an available gap, I design each subwoofer to fit the space exactly, so it takes up as little room as possible while giving the best performance the space allows. And when the customer wants, the subs disappear into the architecture entirely.
The aim is always three things at once. Good sound, so the music stays neutral and pleasant at any level. Even coverage, so every seat is served and nothing is too loud or too soft. And a complete system, so you can connect and operate all your sources from one place, whether that is vinyl, streaming, a DJ or a microphone.
What I deliver is the whole system, not just the speakers. That includes the amplifiers and the processing, the rack that ties it all together, and the installation itself. I do the install myself, and I set the system up on site: I tune it to sound right in the room and I set it within the legal sound limits, so it performs night after night without trouble. You also get clear manuals for the control panels, so your staff can run it with confidence.
Operating it is kept simple. Depending on the scope and the budget, the system is run from a wall panel, an app, or a combination of the two, with the zones and sources laid out the way the venue actually works. The goal is that the staff can walk up and use it without thinking about the technology behind it.
Beyond all of that, the system has to belong in the room. That includes colour and finish, but it goes further. The shape and size of the cabinets, where they sit, and how they meet the architecture and the way the space is used, so the result looks and works as if it had been part of the building from the start. That is what custom really means to me: not a product placed in a room, but a system that becomes part of it.
From first conversation to a system that fits the room
We start early, ideally while the space or room is still being designed
Together with you (and your architect or designer) we shape one solution for the room
I choose or design the right speakers, from my own proven models, with new ones where the room asks for it
Each cabinet is drawn and built by hand, made to your wishes and sized to fit
The full system is assembled, amplifiers, processing and the rack, and installed
On site I tune it to sound right in the room (and, for venues, set it within the legal sound limits), with clear manuals to operate it
Craftsmanship and technology that go into every design
Advanced 3D modeling for precision horn design that optimizes acoustic performance. Our CAD-based approach produces mathematically accurate waveguides for even sound dispersion.
